Karen KleverlaanPartner of Court Coverage with a Bachelor of Business Accounting. Karen has a variety of roles within the business including accounts, purchasing and payroll. Karen is also a high standard pennant player with a number of State Grade titles, former Kooyong club champion, Tennis Victoria player of the year and a number of open titles throughout the State. Karen can also been seen on the court helping out with lessons when required 3. Ben GoltzTCA Club Professional and head of the coaching team Ben comes highly qualified to ensure your full potential is reached. Ben coaches many elite players and also ensures the coaching program is delivered to the highest standard at all times. Ben highlights and notable achievements include regular State Grade player and premiership winner in 2006, many open singles doubles and mixed titles throughout the state. Ben is passionate about the game and is often seen at many of the tournaments watching his players progress. 4. Matt LamattinaAs a Team leader for the Court Coverage coaching staff Matt coaches at our three centres and has been coaching for over 6 years. Matt is a qualified Junior Development coach and is currently completing his Club Professional certificate. Matt has a high level Pennant record and is the current Mens Doubles Club Champion at Narre Warren. Matt is also often seen in the pro shops stringing and regripping racquets to meet the needs of customers when a quick turn around is required Lisa KirkhamAs the Business Administrator for Court coverage Lisa works full time from our Casey Tennis Centre venue in Narre Warren. With over 20 years administration experience and over 10 years experience in the Tennis industry Lisa coordinates the coaching roles for clients and coaches, payroll, staff rosters & accounts. With our extensive Night Tennis programs Lisa coordinates the night competition teams each week and is the Senior Tennis & Pennant Secretary for the NWTC. Lisa has been playing tennis since the age of 6 and is the current club champion at Narre Warren. David VukasanicDavid Vukasinec a former state grade number 1 pennant player for MCC and Beaumaris Lawn is a great asset to the aspiring tennis player at Casey Tennis Centre David has played futures, challengers and ATP tournaments all over the world. He is a enthusiastic coach commited to his pupils progress and likes nothing more than for them to improve their game. Davids only downside is that he unfortunately barricks for the Tigers James SalterJames Salter is a qualified Junior Development Coach and as part of his qualification received a scholarship from the International Olympic Committee to attend the Australian Grand Slam Coaches Conference. James has been coaching for the Casey Tennis Centre for three years and has been playing tennis competitively since the age of eleven. James is currently studying to become a Primary School teacher and also works as an Integration Aid at St Francis Xavier College. As part of his role as an Integration Aid he works with kids that have special needs, he understands that kids learn differently and try’s to implement different methods into his coaching. Makoto KawabeTennis Australia Certified Club Professional with a Graduate Diploma in Sports and Recreation Management, Makoto also know as Michael is enthusiastic and passionate about playing and teaching tennis. Playing A grade pennant in Sydney before moving to Melbourne, Michael enjoys coaching players of all abilities. Michael also looks after a group of players from Japan every year (including top juniors) when they come down under for the summer season. One such player was Kei Nishikori (highest ATP ranking 56) when he came out here 6 years ago as a 14 y/o and was ranked no.2 in Japan at the time. Nicole ReamsNicole has been actively involved with the Casey tennis centre since its opening, both as a player and now as part of the Casey Tennis Centre team . Her involvement in playing tennis for the club, both night tennis and Saturday tennis has given good insight into what makes competition addictive and rewarding, this flows through to her service of all members at all levels, allowing for a pleasant experience for players and business growth . Nicole has been involved with Human Resources and Business Management for over 20 years and her business experience and accreditations adapt perfectly to her role as assistant night tennis coordinator. Stuart PearsonStuart has been a member of the Narre Warren Tennis Club since well before its move from near Fountain Gate to its current location at Sweeney Reserve. He has witnessed the club change and grow over the years to become the brilliant establishment it is today. Stuart has been an active member of the club for nearly 10 years, including many years of receiving coaching, playing juniors until hitting the age limit last year, participating and succeeding in numerous club tournaments and events, and now playing pennant. Stuart has recently become a part of the NWTC team, working in the office, kiosk and as an assistant trainee coach, where he aims to provide fast and friendly service. At the moment he is completing a Sport and Outdoor Recreation/Secondary Teaching course at Monash University Frankston, and aspires to teach physical education through a variety of sports to a wide array of children. He hopes to see you around the centre participating in and enjoying tennis as much as he does. Vaughan SmithVaughan has been coaching with the courtcoverage team since February 2009. He currently attends to group and private lessons at both Pearcedale and Casey fields courts during the week. He comes from a tennis family background and has encouraged his 3 children to learn to play tennis and enjoy the many opportunities that arise from this wonderful sport. He is proud of his past achievements, winning the Boys Under 17 singles championship for the Latrobe Valley Tennis Association in 1973 and then winning the 1977 senior singles championship for the Ovens and King Tennis Association. You can stop counting on your fingers, trying to work out how old he is. There are dinosaurs younger than him. He now involves himself in senior tennis events with the highlight travelling to Qld to compete in the senior ITF event in July each year. Jarrod VerityJarrod has been a member at Narre Warren Tennis Club for seven years, at both the old venue as well as the new complex at Sweeney reserve. He has played junior competition for 14 seasons, and been a part of multiple winning teams in this time. He has also played pennant and senior tennis at Casey Tennis Centre. The club has changed dramatically over his time as a member, and he has experienced this first-hand, partaking in coaching lessons with many of the Court Coverage coaches. Now he is aiming to return the tennis knowledge he was taught to younger students, by training as an Assistant Coach for both the beginners and Pee-Wee students." Jarrod has also had the honour to experience first hand the talent and determination of the worlds best players through the eyes as a ballkid at the Austrlian Open. |
